Mashable, together with the Wildlife Conservation Society, hosted a #MashMeet last weekend at the New York Aquarium.
Instagrammers from all over the New York metropolitan area gathered in Coney Island to meet, greet and photograph at the aquarium after hours. Photographer Jose Silva was present to co-host the event.
"It's really awesome to just go out and see how many people share a common passion," he said.

We saw the beauty of the venue and the animals come out in all of your #undertheseameet photos. There were some amazing silhouettes shot against brightly lit blue-green fish tanks, as well as photos taken outdoors of sea lions and penguins.
