Six years into his presidency, Barack Obama just may have made his worst decision yet: He has officially joined Twitter as @POTUS.
The account is run by Obama himself -- @BarackObama is a campaign account run by OFA -- which means the president will have to deal with the good and the bad Twitter has to offer: the trolls, the One Direction trending hashtags and, worst of all, the jokes.
Oh, the jokes.
To give Obama a warm welcome, people quickly began tweeting quips about his presence on social media, especially asking for follows or DMs.
Come on, Twitter, you can do better for the president of the United States. (But really, Barack -- can we get a follow back?)
