Everything under the sun has a home on the Internet, and sports is no different. Social networks for every niche have been showing up, and athletics has gotten so many, we had to do a list just to collect them together in one spot.

A mixture of a Wikia site and social network for the rabid sports fan. This year saw them add a new feature you don't see too often on social networks where you can add fans of other teams as "foes". A great way to meet other fans all the while sharing your love for your team via writing articles about them in the encyclopedia.

A UK-based site for teams, clubs, and individual athletes to build pages about themselves and announce their upcoming events. Once established, you can search for others around your geographic region for people and teams to compete against.

Currently aggregating sports news and videos from over 3600 sources, we first covered the site back in July when they were still getting set up. You can check out the main page for general news or you can drill down to more specific sports such as baseball, football (both kinds), basketball and more. Possibly every piece of sports news you could ever want.
