Opera Mini 4 is now live. With three beta tests under its belt, the new Opera Mini has new features and tweaks based on the previous releases.

There's now support for Opera Link, which synchs your bookmarks and speed dial between your mobile and PC browser. This is something that Stan very much looked forward to in his previous coverage of Opera Mini, and could prove to be a deal breaker for those that continue to use their computers as extensions of their handhelds.

A new overview mode lets you view webpages in the same manner as you'd see on a computer. This is similar to the execution of web browsing on the iPhone, which will show most web pages as is (just smaller) on the mobile device. Opera achieves this by displaying a screen shot of the web page, and letting you zoom in to the area you'd like to see more clearly. It's also minimized your need for horizontal scrolling on mobile-optimized web pages by changing the size of the text on your phone's screen.

Next up is the context menu, which lets you change the viewing modes between mobile and webpage view. Another useful feature is the ability to add any search engine to your Opera Mini start page, making your mobile content a bit more personal and letting you create your own portal for mobile browsing.
