If you didn't already think Capt. Jack Randall was one of the most ruthless characters on TV, prepare yourself.
As teased in the Outlander featurette below, exclusive to Mashable, the sadistic man who has beat Jamie nearly to death, attempted to rape Claire, and is pretty much a terrible person is about to hit new levels.
In an attempt not to ruin anything for those who haven't read the books, we'll only say this: Some of the stuff that happens in the next few episodes will be tough to watch.
But as Sam Heughan told Mashable a few weeks back, the producers and cast were well aware that material viewers will see in the next few episodes had to be approached with the utmost care, as do scenes that require nudity or have sensitive subjects.
"We're very aware that they're hard scenes to film and even going up to the stuff with Black Jack Randall and the end ... it's something we want to get right," said Jamie's portrayer.
Outlander airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
