It turns out that great Renaissance painter Leonardo da Vinci has more in common with Captain Jean Luc Picard than just a thirst for knowledge and exploration.

Sir Patrick Stewart is lending his vocal talents to a rendition of da Vinci in Leonardo's Cat, an educational mobile game out next month for iOS. The plot begins after Da Vinci's famous Automaton invention is stolen by his in-game arch-rival, Renaissance painter and sculptor Michelangelo.

You must guide the artist's faithful cat, Scungilli, through 60 levels of puzzles, many inspired by da Vinci's inventions or the Renaissance-era technology.

Along with Stewart's talents, the character design in Leonardo's Cat was led by Michael Frith, famed creator on The Muppets and Fraggle Rock. It also features writing by The New York Times' Bob Tedeschi.

Leonardo's Cat will be available in November for iOS for $2.99.
