The life of reclusive Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson is opened up in a new upcoming biopic starring Paul Dano, Love & Mercy, which released a new trailer Wednesday.
If the short sneak peek is any indication, Dano does some fine work in portraying the younger years of the famously reclusive singer, whose success story is dotted with well-chronicled emotional turmoils.

John Cusack plays the older version of Wilson with Elizabeth Banks playing his second wife.
The film premieres June 5 and premiered late last year at the Toronto Film Festival.
