In recent weeks, we've seen college students packing up their possessions in order to start a new life away from home. And who wouldn't be excited by the prospect of a fresh start in a different environment? New beginnings manifest in a number of ways: a butterfly emerging from a cocoon or a plane ticket to a new city. A crate waiting to be unpacked in a new home. A handful of seeds waiting to be planted.
Last week, we asked you to send us photos that symbolized freshness for our Mashable Photo Challenge. We received dozens of pictures of harvested crops, flowers in bloom, butterflies, rain-splashed leaves, plates of mouthwatering food and even a baptism.
