In celebration of the release of the Mr. Uptime Firefox plug-in, Pingdom is giving away a year's worth of its site monitoring service. You'll remember that Mr. Uptime lets you mark a site that's gone down for whatever reason, and the service will let you know when the site is back up.

With a year's worth of Pingdom's site monitoring service being given away, that's nearly $120 worth of Pingdom service for users. The promo is running now through Saturday, and it will only be given to the first 1,000 users. You can read about our Mr. Uptime review here, and check out Pingdom's latest release, which offers up a full page test to mimic the load time of your site. They say the secondary aim is to promote Firefox, since it's a Firefox-only extension.
