While on one hand, everyone wins: advertisers by better targeting, publishers by filling more ad inventory, and consumers by being served more relevant ads, on the other, it opens up a whole new can of worms when it comes to privacy. With the huge backlash to Facebook’s behavior tracking system known as Beacon forcing the company to change course, we’re wondering if this new ad format from the ISPs is dead on arrival.
