May 7 marks the day when the UK heads to the polls to vote for a new government. In truly British fashion, polling stations are far from the high school gym that so many Americans are used to seeing.

Pubs, caravans, shipping containers and even people's homes are converted for the day into polling places, guaranteeing some charming voting experiences.
