Royals share cute new pic of Prince George ahead of his birthday

LONDON –– To celebrate his second birthday, the Kensington Palace Twitter account shared a smiley photo of Prince George on Tuesday.

The photo, which was part of a series taken in the aftermath of Princess Charlotte's baptism by photographer Mario Testino, the Duke of Cambridge holding the prince in the gardens of Sandringham House.

"This photograph captures a very happy moment on what was a special day for The Duke and Duchess and their family," said a spokesman from Kensington Palace. "They are very pleased to share this picture as they celebrate Prince George's second birthday."

Prince George turns 2 on Wednesday.
