We covered the news just before New Year that the social bookmarking site RawSugar is attempting to sell its assets - the site may be taken down within a few months.

Today Otis Gospodnetic, the founder of the bookmarking site Simpy, informed us that RawSugar users now have the option to move their data from RawSugar to Simpy. He's been working with Frank Smadja, RawSugar's VP of R&D, to figure out a smooth transition for RawSugar's users - the import tool is here. Users can transfer the URL, title, note, tags, privacy settings and add date; for bookmarks made before the creation of your Simpy account, the current date is used.
