Recyclables become useable art in these six-second Vines

Plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, office paper and glass jars -- most of us throw these materials away after just one use. What we don't realize, though, is that they can easily be given a second life with a little bit of thought and creativity.

Last week's Vine challenge was all about using recycled objects to create something useful, in the style of DIY or upcycling.

Mashable launched this challenge in partnership with PepsiCo, as part of its sustainability microsite #HowWillWe, where you can learn more about smart and sustainable ideas. Submissions included cardboard cacti, a wire desk tree, reshaped paper clips and more. Below, take a look at our favorite #RecycledArtwork entries.
