Now here's how you do a drop test with a shiny new phone.
One user in Asia got her hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and repeatedly slammed it against the concrete floor. Miraculously, the device survived the beating nearly unscathed.
The phone is covered in Gorilla Glass on both sides, so it's easy to assume that the device would be much more unforgiving compared to other drop tests.
Meanwhile, YouTube user Keaton from TechSmartt dropped the S6 Edge from various heights -- from waist-level to more than 7 feet in the air -- to see how it would handle a fall. It cracked only after multiple tries, according to the video; the metal lip took most of the damage.
If these videos are any indication, the 6S Edge can withstand some serious wear and tear, unlike the iPhone 6, which didn't fare as well in a series of similar drop tests.
