It's getting harder to avoid talking about Saoirse Ronan, a likely Best Actress Academy Award nominee for Brooklyn. It's not getting any easier to pronounce her name.

That's OK -- "that Irish actress from Atonement" (as you've been calling her) is here to help.

Ronan wore a handy sign on The Ellen Degeneres Show to calm your Oscar party nerves. It's pronounced Sur-sha, not Sheesha, as Dennis Quaid would have you believe.

Saoirse Ronan is here tomorrow! And she rhymes with inertia. A photo posted by Ellen (@theellenshow) on Jan 5, 2016 at 6:02pm PST

Ryan Gosling previously taught the lesson, "it’s Ser-sha, like inertia." Ronan thanked Gosling for his service, explaining that Ryan isn't pronounced Rye-an, but actually, "blond Canadian Jesus."

Ronan previously schooled James Corden on the pronunciation.
