If you're stressing over how to prepare for Hurricane Sandy as it looms toward the East Coast this evening, you can relax a little bit: Sesame Street's here to help.

The beloved children's show released a special hurricane episode in which Big Bird, Elmo and the rest of the gang prepare for a storm. The episode starts off with the residents learning about hurricanes -- from NBC's own Al Roker, nonetheless -- and going through the right precautions like collecting food, boarding up windows and bringing things in from outside.

The website also features a "Hurricane Kit" with tips for talking to your kids about the storm. Tips include "Give Your Children the Facts," "Try to Keep a Normal Routine" and "Monitor Media Use," among others.

How are you prepping for the hurricane? Is this a helpful way to teach your kids what to expect? Let us know.
