'Serial' is on to suspicious Santa Claus in 'SNL' parody

It was always tough to believe in Santa Claus.

That’s what makes him a perfect case for Serial host Sarah Koenig. Saturday Night Live parodied the popular crime podcast to tackle the story of a little boy who wakes up on Christmas morning to find his dream toy under the tree. But if his mom didn't do it, who did? Santa.

Cast member Cecily Strong does a nearly perfect Koenig impression. She interviews the boy's mom, Christmas elves and Kris Kringle himself -- who's calling in from jail.

SNL got everything down perfectly: Koenig’s conversational tone, Mail Kimp, the Nisha call. Now maybe this will tide us over until Season 2 of Serial.
