The goal of the Social Good Summit is to bring together world leaders, grassroots activists and change-makers to engage in a discussion about how the tools of today can create a better future. Yet this conversation does not end with the speaker sessions and panelists on the stage in New York City.

Through global meetups and live-streaming capabilities in seven languages, the summit has always been a global affair. With the addition of AudioNow, a Social Enterprise Bootcamp and a MOOC, the event will be more interactive and international than ever. This year, the theme “Connecting for Good, Connecting for All. #2030NOW,” is being taken to a whole new level.

The addition of Audio Now will allow people in countries all over the world to dial into the Social Good Summit and listen to the audio stream through their cellphones. This audio capability extends the reach of the discussion to those without Internet access, and taps into the global community.

The Social Enterprise Bootcamp, on the other hand, will allow those in New York City to participate in a hands-on learning opportunity. The bootcamp will be run by Shana Dressler, founder of the Social Innovators Collective, and will focus on how to launch a social venture. It is free with online registration, and will take place Monday, Sept. 22.

This will also be the second year that the 92nd Street Y has partnered with Wesleyan University to offer a MOOC titled "How to Change the World." Registration for the massive online course will open at the Social Good Summit, and the course will begin Nov. 11.

The Social Good Summit is a two-day conference about the intersection of technology and social good hosted by Mashable, the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the 92nd Street Y. The main event will be held at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on Sept. 21-22, and meetups will be held around the world.
