Some state-level officials are standing by more rigid regulations on travel from Ebola-affected countries, even after the CDC announced new guidelines on Monday.

Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said travelers from West Africa will be monitored at varying levels determined by certain risk factors for 21 days upon entering the U.S. At-risk individuals will report to local or state health authorities and check for Ebola symptoms daily.
