1. Hida beef sushi

Beef tartare fans, take note. Hida beef, which comes from special cows raised in the Gifu Prefecture of Japan, is extremely marbled, tender and delicious. It's enough to make sushi rice scream, "Where's the beef?!"

Swap out the bread for some sweet and sticky sushi rice and you're in BLT business. It's the ideal way to eat your favorite lunch with no crumbs and the perfect ratio of bacon:vegetables in every bite.

The most genius way to eat leftovers since stuffing waffles. Soft stuffing, juicy turkey, tart cranberry sauce and just a touch of warm gravy are the perfect cocktail party hors d'oeuvre or midnight snack.

A take on rice, beef and cheese, it's basically a burrito you can eat without that pesky tinfoil. Swap out the soy sauce for guacamole and it's a tasty way to repurpose taco leftovers.

This might not appeal to everyone, but bugs are inexpensive and a good source of protein. If you want a high-end endorsement, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation just invested $100,000 in the cricket flour company All Things Bugs. Crickets are crunchy and salty, like potato chips. Just don't look too closely before you bite.

If you like rice pudding, this is a natural progression. Juicy mango, ripe strawberries and sweetened cream are all things that go well in rice pudding — and it's just as tasty in sushi form. Plus, you get to impress your friends by announcing that you can eat pudding with chopsticks.
