T-Mobile Offers iPad Support for the First Time

T-Mobile will finally support LTE iPads, according to new details on Apple's homepage.

The company didn't announce the news during its iPad event in San Francisco on Tuesday, but T-Mobile has been added to the iPad Air's specs page for carriers.

The T-Mobile will be giving away 200MB of data for free, similar to what it does for Google Chromebook computers, according to 9to5Mac. Pricing will jump to $30 for 2.5GB.

The partnership doesn't come as a complete surprise. T-Mobile CEO John Legere sent a tweet last week hinting that an iPad-related announcement was coming.

T-Mobile began carrying iPhones for the first time earlier this year, which indicated cellular iPads could be coming to the carrier in the near future.

Pricing has not yet been announced.
