The Undertaker is back in the spotlight.
For the last five years, the 50-year-old WWE star has only made once-a-year appearances at WrestleMania to defend his legendary winning streak at the event. But, after Brock Lesnar ended the streak at WrestleMania 30 in 2014, The Undertaker used Sunday night's WWE Battleground as a stage to seek revenge.
The Deadman interrupted Lesnar's World Heavyweight Championship bout with Seth Rollins and quickly made his presence felt.

He then proceeded to toy with Lesnar, before leaving him completely abused at the center of the ring.

It is the first appearance for The Undertaker in a WWE setting since March, when the 25-year WWE veteran defeated Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31. Over the years, as the Undertaker has made fewer appearances, WrestleMania has become the one event at which he actually wrestles. The famed WWE star, who is the longest-tenured ring performer in the organization's history, hasn't appeared in an event this late in the year since 2009.
His appearance Sunday seems to confirm the Wrestling Observer's report that The Undertaker will be a part of WWE's biggest summer pay-per-view event, SummerSlam.
SummerSlam occurs on August 23 and one could assume a matchup between Lesnar and the longtime WWE veteran will be on tap.
Given his age, many suspect WrestleMania 32 to be the Undertaker's last wrestling match.

But he remains a fan-favorite, and the crowd's reaction to his appearance Sunday displays that he'll have no lack of support whenever he jumps in the ring.
