If Carly Rae Jepsen is the little sister of the Millennial generation, then Tom Hanks is its goofy uncle.
So it's only fitting that Hanks stars in Jepsen's latest music video for her sugary-sweet, catchy-as-it-comes song "I Really Like You," which dropped Friday. In the video, above, Hanks lip-syncs to the song while in his apartment and on the streets of SoHo. (That said, "lip-sync" is a stretch because there are moments when he definitely doesn't know the words -- but that's OK, because it's Tom Hanks.)
The video appears to be an ode to Millennials, throwing in references to emoji, Tinder and Justin Bieber.
Do you really, really, really, really, really, really like it? It doesn't matter because Tom Hanks does, and he's a gem.
