September is typically a huge month for technology news and announcements, however the most popular ad of the month was actually a parody that made fun of the portentous way Apple announces its new products.

Ikea's "bookbook" spot promotes its dead-tree Ikea 2015 catalog by highlighting how intuitive and easy to use it is in classic Apple-style, complete with a white backdrop. Hilarity -- and hurt feelings in Cupertino -- ensue.

According to Unruly, the remaining top 10 ads from September included video games, sports, dogs, the Ice Bucket Challenge and the return of a Budweiser ad that aired just once in 2002.
