Polish cyclist Bartosz Huzarski shared an insane photo of his legs after stage 18 of the Tour de France.

The photo shocked, awed -- and even found Huzarski on the defensive after some fans could hardly handle the veiny spectacle.

Here's the photo he shared to Facebook after completing Thursday's mountainous, 90-mile 18th stage.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Pretty gnarly, right? All that's missing is a #nofilter hashtag.

Apparently, Huzarski got so much unexpected feedback from fans online -- He must be doping, right? Is that even healthy? How is this possible? -- that on Saturday, he jumped in the comments below the photo to clear some things up.

Huzarski wrote that he didn't expect such a befuddled reaction to the photo, and that the sight of his legs with veins a-popping is common (at least to him) after "a hard race at high temperature."

He also went on to explain -- because, let's be honest, no sense is too common for the Internet masses -- that people's legs don't all look the same.

People write and think different things, that is impossible, that is not normal, it is unhealthy, refer to doping, etc ... Of course I will not have legs like models Victoria's Secret, or Ms.Mary from a nearby vegetable shop, or anyone who spending in the office half a day and 3 times a week will do 10 km bike or goes to an hour run. Unfortunately it does not work and what, and this what you see in the picture below is not unhealthy.

Meanwhile, Vincenzo Nibali won the 2014 Tour de France on Sunday, becoming the first Italian to take the title since 1998.
