A Chinese tourist's camera was rolling when a bomb suddenly went off in central Bangkok on Monday night, killing at least 20 people and injuring more than 100.

The bombing was carried out on a shrine in an area that houses high-end shops and luxury hotels. The tourist was walking on a nearby overpass when the explosion happened, capturing the moment on video.

The footage shows crowds of people walking through the overpass before the monotony of the moment is broken by a loud blast and burst of light. People can be heard screaming as they run in panic.

Thai police said on Tuesday that a man who was seen in security footage near the Erawan Shrine is believed to have set off the bomb.
