In case you haven't heard, the Twinkie is in trouble. Last week, Hostess announced it would close its doors 10 months after the company filed bankruptcy, but there is still a small strand of hope for the cake treat. The company and its labor unions agreed to a Tuesday mediation session over the labor strike which was the final factor for the emergency shutdown.
Twitter mourned the death of the Twinkie, while some headed to eBay in hopes of selling them off for the insane price tag of $5,000. And that was just the starting bid.
