The update includes support for the anti-bullying ZWJ emoji, formally named Eye in Speech Bubble. The character, rolled out in iOS 9.1, is part of the Ad Council's "I Am A Witness" campaign. The emoji is meant to help bystanders and victims support those who have been bullied and call out harassment online and in text messages.
Custom Twitter emoji, or Hashflags, are used during some events and promotions, but the anti-bullying icon also now appears when you type #IAmAWitness.
