Footage captured by an eyewitness shows about 100 people moving a London bus as they rushed to the aid of a unicyclist who found himself trapped on Thursday evening during rush hour.

Eyewitnesses captured the scene in Walthamstow, east London, as bystanders came to the aid of the man stuck under the front wheel of a 12-ton double-decker bus, according to The Evening Standard.

Eyewitnesses told The Evening Standard that people left their seats in nearby restaurants to help move the bus before emergency services arrived on the scene.

Another video, which emerged Friday morning on Guardian Series, shows dramatic aerial footage of the bus being moved from the 55-year-old's legs.

The man has been taken to hospital and is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
