Last night, astronomy enthusiasts around the world had their eyes glued to the skies in hope of viewing the last transit of Venus for more than 100 years.

The seven-hour transit was widely visible around the globe, and so when we asked the Mashable community to share their photos, the responses came from locations as varied as the Phillipines, United States, Australia, Colombia and Malaysia.
