Finally, we have some clarity as to what, exactly, the bad guy in X-Men: Apocalypse is after.

"Apocalypse means to destroy this world!" says Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) in the clip above. Oh, so the guy named for the end of the world also has some designs on bringing it about?

Then again, that's just a second-hand source. It would be better to hear it from the horse's mouth.

Luckily, Apocalypse himself (Oscar Isaac) says later: "Everything they've built ... will fall!"

There's also a female singer with marbles in her cheeks singing a more-emo-than-Coldplay version of Coldplay's super-emo "Beautiful World," which is a pretty good sign that darkness and woe are afoot -- another clue that the "apocalypse" might be a theme in this film.

So there you have it, folks. According to the teaser released during Sunday's telecast of the Super Bowl, in X-Men: Apocalypse, Apocalypse wants to end the world.

We are like, 65% sure of this.
