The reports we've had last week about YouTube India's imminent launch turned out to be true. It's been a long time coming, but in.youtube.com (youtube.in also works) is now live, offering the standard YouTube video selection through an "Indian lens," which basically means that the charts on the site reflect the preferences of users from India, and the featured videos are chosen to be of interest to Indian audience.
According to IndiaTimes, partners for the launch are, among others, Zoom channel from the Bennet Coleman & Co, UTV and Rajshri Group.
