102-year-old woman stays young with a boozy daily routine
They say variety is the spice of life, but an invigorating routine can be even better.
Consider 102-year-old Mildred "Millie" Bowers, who lives in an assisted living facility in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. And every day at 4 p.m. sharp, Millie drinks a single beer — doctor's orders.

According to local reports, Millie, who turns 103 on Aug. 31, started the routine after proposing it to a few nurses, who agreed to run the plan by a doctor. She says he agreed.

So far, Millie loves her beer a day — she may have even had a second beer during an early birthday celebration earlier this week. However, Millie doesn't recommend her boozy routine to everyone. "Look, there are people who don't like coffee and people who don't like tea, but I want everyone to drink what they like," she said.
