Watch a CNN commentator rail against a former congressman who said Obama benefited because of his race
CNN commentator Angela Rye is doing everything she can not to explode.
Rye butted heads with former U.S. Congressman Joe Walsh's on CNN's Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin yesterday after he suggested that President Obama was held to a lower standard because of his race.
The commentator then pushed Walsh to explain why Obama held to a lower standard when our current President had no political experience prior to entering office, among other depressing things.
At one point, Rye even called Walsh a "bigot" because well -- you need to see the clip for yourself.
Angela Rye's exchange follows a week where two other prominent black women in politics, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and journalist April Ryan, were forced to push back after two members of the GOP made racialized comments about their bodies.
Happy Thursday, everyone!
