A man dressed in an animal onesie was shot by Baltimore Police after walking into a local television station and allegedly making a bomb threat.

The incident unfolded Thursday afternoon at Baltimore's Fox 45 when the man walked into the station's lobby, claiming to have a bomb and a thumb drive with information, though what that information was is unknown.

The station's news director was reported as saying that the man, who was also wearing a surgical mask across his face, claimed his information was comparable to revelations from the recent "Panama Papers."

The Baltimore Sun also reports that a car was set on fire in the station's parking lot though police have not said whether or not the two incidents are connected.

Police evacuated the office and set up a perimeter, and a short time later, the man exited the building. When he refused to comply with police orders, according to media reports, a police sniper shot the suspect, wounding him.

At this time, the condition of the man is unknown, but a bomb robot was called in to examine the man for any explosive device and reporters on the ground say the suspect was alive and moving.

According to reporters on scene, the man was taken into custody by police after being examined by the robot and members of the bomb squad.

According to police, the suspect is in serious condition but is expected to survive his injuries. Authorities also said that the suspect's alleged suspect device was actually made up of chocolate bars wrapped in foil combined with other objects.

No word on what charges may be pending against the suspect.
