Bernie Sanders is now a fashion icon and he's not sure what to make of it
Bernie Sanders has taken on lots of different roles in his life so far -- from filmmaker to U.S. Senator -- and now he can add fashion muse to his CV.
Though Bernie didn't make a physical appearance at Paris Fashion Week in January, the runway was awash with Bernie-inspired attire.
Balenciaga's show took heavy inspiration from Sanders' unique sense of style and featured a rebranded logo that bore a distinct similarity to his presidential campaign branding.
Bernie has finally spoken out about his fashion icon status.
Asked by CNN about his newfound status as a muse, Bernie laughed off suggestions that he could ever be deemed a trendsetter.
When asked if he ever thought he'd become a fashion icon, Bernie said: "No, not quite. I think of my many attributes, being a great dresser, or a fashion maven is not one of them."
