Today marks the last flight 666 bound for HEL on Friday the 13th. Would you take it?

Some very brave passengers got on that flight.

Would I board the last ever flight 666 bound for HEL on Friday the 13th? Uh, no.

I’m not a superstitious person but even if that was a free flight to the magical world of Narnia I would have to skip it.

Nordic airline Finnair has flown courageous passengers from Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH) to Helsinki, Finland (HEL) since 2006. That flight has often born the number 666 and it has often traveled on various Fridays the 13th. But today marks the last ever flight 666 bound for HEL.

Finnair has chosen to retire the official flight number, AY666, for the past 11 years, AY666 has flown to HEL 21 times on Friday the 13th, a spokesperson for the airline said to The Telegraph.

The airline spokesperson also explained the reason for retiring the ominous flight number.

“As of October 29, some of our flight numbers in our network will change and our AY666 flight from Copenhagen to Helsinki will change to AY954."

No more superstitious flights for those brave passengers. Unfortunately, this will not be the last Friday the 13th.
