'TL;DR,' 'budgie smugglers' among the most glorious words added to Oxford Dictionary

LONDON -- Next time you wriggle into your budgie smugglers, you can do so safe in the knowledge that the phrase "budgie smugglers" has now been immortalised in the Oxford English Dictionary.

As part of a recent update, the OED has added hundreds of new words and sub-entries to its ever-growing online list -- and there are some gloriously random ones in the mix.

deffo, adv. (British informal): Definitely; certainly.

glamping, n.: A form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping.

hockey mom, n. (North American informal): A mother who devotes a great deal of time and effort to supporting her children's participation in ice hockey.

LMAO, abbr.: Laughing my arse off.

ROFL, abbr.: Rolling on the floor laughing (used to convey great amusement).

starter marriage, n.: A short-lived first marriage between young adults, viewed as a form of preparation for a subsequent, more lasting one with different partners.

stupid o'clock, n. (British informal): A time of the day that is extremely early (or late)

TL;DR, abbr.: Used as a dismissive response to a lengthy online post, or to introduce a summary of a lengthy post

wedding tackle, n. (British humorous): A man's genitals.
