Officer charged with murder in Freddie Gray case found not guilty
The Baltimore police officer charged with second-degree depraved heart murder and other crimes in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray was found innocent on all counts on Thursday.
Officer Caesar Goodson had also been charged with three counts of manslaughter, assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office.
Goodson drove Gray to various spots in the city after officers arrested the Baltimore resident for running away from officers after making eye contact. Gray was fatally injured in the back of the van and died a week later after surgery failed to save his life.
