David Bowie's otherworldly presence will soon beam back to the big screen.
The Man Who Fell to Earth, Bowie's first starring role, will return to theaters in celebration of its 40th anniversary. Bowie played Thomas Jerome Newton, an alien on a mission to bring water back to his home planet.
The 4K restoration will debut in England on Sept. 9 and eventually come to the United States and Germany. The restoration, which began in 2015, was done with the blessing of director Nicolas Roeg and cinematographer Anthony Richmond.
