Bradley the dog may only have three legs, but his humans have turned his missing limb into an adorable personality trait thanks to some some funny doodles.

Charley Desrochers and his girlfriend Marinnane adopted him from the Ace of Hearts in Beverly Hills, California. Before getting picked up by the rescue, Bradley had a paralyzed leg after getting hit by a car while living on the streets. Unfortunately, the leg needed to be amputated.

After Bradley healed, the couple decided to have a little fun with the whole situation, and have curated a pretty adorable Instagram (@MyDogBradley) where Bradley gets a cartoon arm in place of his amputated leg, and is put into some pretty hilarious situations.

"I'm a big fan of Photoshop in the sense of putting shark heads into the bodies of the cast of Sherlock Holmes," Desrochers explained. "So when I was riffing with Marianne one day and thought how funny would it be if he had a little cartoon arm instead that did people things."

Adding to the ridiculousness, when Desrochers sees a dog, he gives them their own human-like cartoon voice in his head. Growing up with dogs, he recognizes pups have their own personalities and eccentricities, so the voices are an extension of that.

"I try to keep it to myself most of the time I but I'm pretty good at impressions so when I see a dog like a English bulldog, I can't help but to throw on a Winston Churchill and act like him begging for a biscuit is also negotiating peace in World War II," Desrochers said.

Bradley, he's got a Mickey Mouse voice.

Since posting Bradley's photos to Instagram, Desrochers says the feedback has been "amazing."

"We get people sending us photos of their tri-paws and it warms our hearts," Desrochers wrote in an email. "I definitely didn't have a goal or a cause when I made this but I love that it's normalizing having a amputee animals."

And while Bradley and Desrochers are two different species, the two do share some experiences. Desrochers was also struck by a vehicle, and was having a hard time recovering both physically and emotionally. After the accident, Desrochers went on Petfinder and discovered Bradley.

The rest is history.

"From there it was just one big cuddle party because we couldn't stop healing praise and affection onto the little guy!" said Desrochers.
