Daenerys Targaryen's dragons aren't the only ones with badass names...

Apparently Emilia Clarke has also given each of her Game of Thrones wigs a spunky nickname, because why not?

While reporting for the recent Time cover story on Game of Thrones, the publication learned the secrets of Clarke's hair transformation into the glorious Mother of Dragons.

According to Time, Clarke's hair designer, Kevin Alexander, begins the transformation by fitting the actress with a bald cap to hide her dark roots.

Then comes one of Clarke's four character wigs, nicknamed Dany, Diva, Candice (after one of the other on-set stylists), and Blondie ("formerly Bitch, as 'she didn't want to play'").

And rest assured, achieving Targaryen's signature blonde coloring was no easy feat. The process "took at least two, two-and-a-half months, with six or seven wigs," because the producers and writers wanted the tone to be perfect.

Alexander went on to highlight some of the show's most memorable hairstyles, including Cersei Lannister's cut-up scalp during her memorable walk of penance — a look which required five wigs to create — and touched upon John Snow and Sansa Stark's haircare.

The show (and wigs) returns for a seventh season on July 16.
