16 times 'Green Wing' was the funniest British comedy of all time

There aren't many comedies out there that you still find yourself chuckling about 10 years after they've finished.

The British hospital-based sitcom Green Wing was short but incredibly, incredibly sweet. It started in 2004, ran for two seasons and had a Christmas special. A total of 18 episodes.

In terms of memorable characters and endlessly quotable scenes, though, they really crammed them in.

From the surreal quirks of Sue White to the stammering awkwardness of Dr Alan Statham, we've rounded up some of the best bits below...
