The small town of Blyth, Ontario is looking extra magical this weekend as it opens its arms to thousands of visiting Harry Potter fans for its annual Festival of Wizardry.

For the second year in a row, the people of Blyth have turned their hometown into Transfigured Town with Harry Potter-themed decorations, food, events, and concerts. Last year's event attracted 1,500 visitors; this weekend's sold-out event attracted 9,000.

Blyth, which in a 2011 census recorded a population of 1,005, has grown nearly 10 times in size this weekend, with quidditch matches, wizard rock concerts, magic lessons, and more. Visitors and volunteers alike have been sharing photos and videos of the Festival of Wizardry on Twitter since Friday, making everyone else in the world who didn't get to go jealous.

Unfortunately, this year's event hit a bit of a snag on Sunday due to some unforeseen weather conditions, including high winds, rain, and lightning storms. Here's hoping the weather turns around and everyone can enjoy the magic they came to see.
