Loving tells the true story of American couple Richard and Mildred Loving and their fight for equality.

The Lovings took their case to U.S. Supreme Court in 1967 after they were found to be violating Virginia Law which prohibited interracial marriage.

The landmark ruling overturned the state's miscegenation laws, allowing the couple to not only have their union recognised, but no longer be vilified or persecuted because of the choice of partner.

Perhaps the best testament to the work of the Lovings is the outpouring of gratitude from couple on Twitter using hashtag #VoteLoving.
