Is more 'Alan Wake' coming? Remedy explains that 'Quantum Break' teaser
Could Remedy Entertainment's creepy Xbox 360 action game Alan Wake finally return to finish its story?
Remedy's first Xbox One game, Quantum Break, seems to suggest as much. There's a live-action trailer for "Alan Wake's Return" hidden inside the game as an easter egg. Then again, the studio has always been fond of hiding nods to its past work in various games.

A little background: Alan Wake is a third-person action game with a supernatural twist, but the story is really its defining feature. Each chapter of the game is treated like a TV episode, complete with opening credits and "previously on" bumpers.
The 2010 release was followed in 2012 by a spinoff called Alan Wake's American Nightmare. It wasn't the sequel that fans were hoping for, but it did further flesh out the universe. All's been quiet on the Alan Wake front since then, but this Quantum Break easter egg suggests there's more to come.
To find out what's up, Mashable asked the one guy who knows all of Remedy's secrets: Quantum Break creative director and studio co-founder Sam Lake.
"Part of, I feel, the charm of a Remedy game is we put in all kinds of [hidden] stuff and you discover that. So we have in-game TV shows and things like that," Lake said. "It just felt like, of course we'll do an Alan Wake TV bit there."
Lake added that Alan Wake is beloved by the whole studio, and "it would be lovely to return and do more Wake" at some point.
That said, don't write off this hidden gem -- described in detail here by Polygon -- as a nod to fans and nothing more. As Lake told us, it's also an indication of Remedy's thinking with regards to the future of the series.
"Obviously we are looking into it as an opportunity and also working on the concept at the same time, because that's how [game development] goes," he said. "I can tell you that what you have there [in Quantum Break], as it claims, is along the lines of what our thinking is.
"If we would start working on a sequel now, there would be themes there [in the easter egg] that would be part of it."
