Vanity Fair's 2018 Hollywood Portfolio issue, which featured 12 impactful stars in the entertainment industry from Oprah to Robert De Niro, used to include another man: James Franco.

Though Franco was originally included in the group shot, in wake of sexual misconduct accusations against the actor from five women Vanity Fair made the decision to digitally erase him from the final cut.

"We made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him," a spokesperson from Vanity Fair told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources told the publication that Franco had already been interviewed and photographed by Vanity Fair with every intention of including him in the issue pre-accusations. Luckily his removal didn't require a reshoot.

The Hollywood Reporter notes it's unclear when the final decision was made but it must have been pretty last minute. The Los Angeles Times published allegations Jan. 11.

The actor has denied the accusations, telling Stephen Colbert in an interview, "Look, in my life I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I have done. The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate."

"I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So I don’t want to shut them down in any way," Franco went on before explaining why he wore a Time's Up pin to the Golden Globes.

"But one of the things I've learned is that this is a conversation that obviously needs to be had. There are people, women and others, who have not been a part of this conversation. And I truly believe they need to be part of this conversation. So that's why I was wearing the pin and I support that."

Though Vanity Fair was able to successfully remove Franco from the cover, readers noticed a few other photoshop mishaps from the shoot that were missed: Oprah's three hands and Reese's three legs.

We've since learned that Reese Witherspoon's "third leg" has was just the lining of her dress, but Oprah's third hand was the result of an editing error, and will be fixed online.
