PSA: You don’t have to go to the movies to be at the theater. With the right soundbar, you can transform your living room or bedroom (no judgment) into a home theater that’s so good your neighbors will be lining up for tickets.

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is currently on sale for $399 at Amazon. That’s a 20% discount and $100 off the list price. It’s also totally worth it — my parents have this exact soundbar, and, let me tell you, the sound quality is downright cinematic. (We typically use it for music and parties, not just movie nights.)

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is compact and can fit just about anywhere, but it delivers full, rich audio thanks to its Dolby Atmos support and 200-watt power output. You can connect it to other devices like your phone or computer via Bluetooth or use the Sonos app to stream music, podcasts, and more.

If you already have more than one Sonos speaker, the app lets you create a whole-home audio system by grouping speakers to play the same tunes throughout the house or setting them up in different rooms to play different content. (If you’re watching a thriller, having multiple speakers really intensifies the experience).
