What happened to a simple "yes" or "no" RSVP reply?

Japanese Twitter user Toshihiro Anzai posted a picture of a wedding invite with the outline of a hand, offering the option for attendees to indicate if they were attending by drawing a finger pointing left or right.

To RSVP, guests had to draw an index finger pointing to "yes" on the left, or "no" to the right. The way the drawing is set up, it encourages the recipient to draw a finger pointing left -- to say yes to the invite. The caption under the picture even reads: "Hard to miss!"

Twitter users decided that they had much more creative ways of responding to the invite.

Some didn't want to leave the left hand out.

Things got pretty artistic at one point.
